Summary:
This book is a Jewish version of a Cinderella story.  The story begins with Mireleh being sent away after upsetting her father.  She is taken in by a family, believed to be a poor beggar girl.  Mireleh is given a magic stick by Elijah the Prophet.  Although Mireleh is not invited, she attends a celebration.  At the celebration, she and the son of Rabbi Yitskhok ben Levi fall in love.  They marry, and it is at their wedding Mireleh is reunited with her family and all is forgiven.  Words and music to a traditional Yiddish wedding song are included.
